Welcome to Human Athletic. We are a personal training company with a difference. Our athletic based training systems are not something that you will find down your local gym. Any trainer, in any gym can induce fatigue and make you tired, the question is, are they making you better? All of our sessions and long term training programmes are about improving functional performance and wellbeing; they have direct transfer to real word applications-whether that be on the pitch or track, in the ring or carrying the shopping up the stairs, this type of training will work for you!
If your goal is aesthetics (looking good), take a look at any sprinter. What do we see? Low body fat? Good muscle definition? These are side effects of their training, not primary goals. So why should we not train like this so you are faster, stronger and have more energy. Oh and you will just happen to look great too!
We also specialise in post rehab training. When things go wrong as they sometimes do in competitive sport or everyday life, it doesn't always serve our bodies best interest do rest and do nothing else. Sure, initially injuries require treatment and rest but dependent upon the injury you should get moving as soon as you are able. If you don't use what you've got you are going to lose it!
We think your body is the greatest piece of equipment you will ever own. Let us help you look after it!
Matt Robinson has a lifetime of training experience at his disposal. After 15 years in the British Army as a physical training instructor and serving all over the world, he has worked with a variety of clients from both military and civilian walks of life. He has competed for the army in downhill skiing and competes regularly in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) tournaments (which is a weight controlled sport). Matt has gained a vast amount of knowledge from this sporting and military background and takes great pride in his ability to share this information with his clients so they understand why we train the way we do. He is committed to making positive lifestyle changes for the better. This is achieved through education, motivation and guidance every step of the way.
